“Great machine for the money!I've had the 10w Z1 for about 2 weeks now and have been testing it out on just about anything I can engrave. Wood, leather, slate, anodized aluminum, and even some painted stainless steel, all with great results. This is a very nice machine for the price. The spot size of the laser is actually 0.08mm as advertised and cuts great even with only 10w output. I can easily cut 1/8" (3mm) plywood in one pass, and even 1/4" (6mm) in one pass with the air assist added on with hardly any charred edges. Paper cuts effortlessly as fast as the machine can go, and the diode is accurate enough to mark it with the power settings lowered and not cut through.If you are thinking about getting one of these lasers just do it. You won't find a better deal on a machine this nice. Highly recommended!.”

“This review is for the 5W version of the Comgo Z1. I have only tried a few tests using the sample wood sent along with the engraver. I engraved a butterfly inside a heart, cutting the heart shape to produce a coaster or ornament. The results were very good. I made a few test greyscale engravings on the supplied wood as well as a scrap piece of 1 X 4 lumber. These also turned out well, but a heads up to other engravers is the lumber had streaks through the picture due to the different densities of the grain.I highly recommend the 5W Comgo Z1 and LightBurn software combination, and look forward to seeing what it will do with other materials besides wood..”
